Our most sincere thanks to

Sincere thanks also to Kevian Kenya Ltd, who have generously agreed to donate bottles of Mt. Kenyan Water and keep our participants well-hydrated during the race. Our gratitude will grow even greater, no doubt, the farther we run!

... & more Friends!

Our friends over at Nordic Ways are holding the 7th annual Genghis Khan Festival this July, in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China. The event consists of two different sports disciplines: mountain biking and cross country running. Runners get the chance of running a full marathon or half marathon distance in the lush green grasslands surrounding Xiwuqi town in the more northern part of Inner Mongolia.  It's a fantastic race and perfect preparation for the Amazing Maasai Ultra!

Apart from the sports competitions, there are plenty of cultural and culinary delights throughout the extended weekend, not in the least during the big outdoor bonfire party at the Mongolian Yurt camp.

The 7th edition of the Festival will be held 5-7 July 2013 and online registration is now open via the event website (www.grasslandextrememarathon.com). The grasslands are in a remote area and hotel options are limited, so early RSVP is necessary. You can also ‘Like’ The Genghis Khan Festival on Facebook and interact with fellow participants.
